Pathetic Serivce . Donot go with these frauds
Recently , we brought our luggage and cars using the services of Best Movers and Packers ,(K-98, Old Rang Puri Road, Opp Anand Public School, Mahilpalpur, New Delhi) from Delhi to Bangalore .
These
guyz are real cheats . I suggest anyone not to use their services even they offer you the best prices.
Our car and luggage was damaged severly and even thing was unorganized . The guy in Delhi ( Ajit, Rajinder : Owner, Kapoor the Bangalore incharge) are totally unprofessional and commit you all possible deals but nothing is done oin pratice .
They have unprofessional workers who donot know how to work or talk . You to run after then to collect your luggage. About damages , they never care.
My suggestion is not to go with these frauds

Hi All,
I had a real nightmare with this company..........
1. we moved our house from kolkata to mumbai and booked a big container. but these ppl send us the small one and charged
Click!
Click!
for the big one.
2. when we got the container in mumbai, we had kept the cheque ready for the payment (Half payment was done in advance). but the unloader refused to accept the cheque saying that he got instructions from Mr. Rohtak (Mumbai Incharge), that the payment has to be made in cash. we then spoke to Mr Rohtak, and told him that it was printed on the invoice as well that the payment has to be made in cheque. but he refused to accept the cheque and blackmailed us that he will take the container back to the godown. we then had to arrange fr the cash payment immediately.
3. when we opened the container the containers locks were already broken & also the luggage was in a pathetic condition, all broken. what about the insurance which they claim that it would be given.
4. my mother then called this mr. rohtak several times fr repairing the furniture. but he refused to answer or even speak politely. he does not even know how to talk to a women..........bloody cheats
This is the height of cheating............i am sure these ppl cant continue much longer if we consumers raise voice in media and expose these ppl.........................

Pros:
reasonably good packing compared to a lot of others
Cons:
they do not care about condition of items or claims
I moved my household things from Delhi to Mumbai. I used the services of Agarwal Packers and Movers.
On the day of packing their packers decended on my house like a pack
of wolves. They demanded newspaper from me to pack my expensive china ware. They kept packing without stopping to ask or listen to anything that I told them.
After they packed they just stacked the stuff in any odd way. The signs os ‘this side up’ etc. was totally ignored. When they delivered at Mumbai, their attitude was little better than airport baggage handlers. What they were experts at was hiding the things they had broken.
They then made me sign papers in a hurry and left.
While unpacking I found that three of my very expensive China ware was smashed to pieces, due to very bad packing. I had told the packers that the packing within the plastic boxes was not adequately done as there was movement within the box, but they would not listen.
I also found a day later that my computer table was very badly damaged and being made of particle board and MDF, cannot be repaired. This was obviously due to the fact that the loaders/ unloaders do not pay any attention to the way they stack packages. I had pointed this out to them when they were loading the truck in delhi and also when they were unloading, when they kept stacking boxes on other boxes containing fragile items. I had also told them to dismantle the table as it was likely to break, but they did not listen. Similarly the wheels of my radiator are completely smashed. Again I has told them to dismantle these but they assured me that nothing would happen.
Ofcourse once you have signed the papers, they care a damn about all your complaints. They just ignore you when you complain.

Agarwal Packers -- count everything in a Part Load
Agarwal Packers -- count everything in a Part Load
By: ujwalasam | Jul 14, 2007 09:50 PM
Pros:
Good packing -- nothing broke and delivery was prompt
Cons:
honesty is not a company policy
I recently used Aggarwal packers to move my stuff from Bangalore to Pune. I was pleasantly surprised at the good packing (yes -- it was really careful and safe) and reasonable cost, but my joy was short-lived.
Since we used a Part Load, our stuff was unloaded in Pune before the truck carried someone elses’s things to Mumbai. We were tired and groggy and no one thought of ticking things off on the list as we unloaded, we just kept a count orally as the guys relentlessly unloaded package after package into our tiny flat -- and obviously not correctly since one box containing bedlinen etc. one old but sturdy bookshelf and one skateboard, were not unloaded. When we realised our mistake a day later (and admitted, it was our mistake ) I phoned Mukesh Aggarwal to check with the people in Mumbai if they had our stuff. I was told that these people had ’’gone abroad for a long time’’! How convenient. Of course, I was told this after being berated for not counting ’’each and everything’’ etc. etc. and naturally there was not a whisper of an apology, let alone any offer to do something about the situation. I persisted for a day or two in trying to track my stuff, but gave up then. Either the moving staff or someone in Mumbai is using my bookshelf, sleeping in my quilts and skating around on my son’s skateboard. When we did our shifting abroad, even a shoebox left nehind would be returned, even after a few weeks. Everone keeps saying ’’Oh, you can’t compare!’’ My question is why not?? Isn’t basic honesty part of our Great Indian Culture any longer??I guess we’re just a basically dishonest, ’’grab-what-you can’’ kind of people.

Agarwal Packers Movers : Tried Twice..Feeling Happy & Wise!!!!
Tried Twice..Feeling Happy & Wise!!!!
By: Chintu25 | Aug 01, 2007 04:38 PM (Updated Aug 02, 2007 05:49 PM)
Pros:
Professionalism, Stick to Timelines...Good packing
Cons:
You have to be cautious with the oversmart supervisors
My father has been in a transferable job so it’s been quite often that we have packed our bags and moved around. Largely we used to employ any local Mover & Packers. After reaching our new location
my Dad was always on tenterhooks until our trucks arrived. In those times people were not having the luxury of mobile phones so tracing the truck was next to impossible and we used to wait n watch the arrival of our precious household items.
But last time when my parents were shifting from Jamnagar to Delhi the rates quoted by these local Packers & movers were exorbitant and we were sure that the quality would not be at par. The difficulties being faced by my parents forced me to do some research and I chanced upon Agarwal Packers & Movers.
Though these people didn’t have a branch in Jamnagar they very readily agreed for the consignment. The rates quoted by them were very competitive and on the D-Day these people came dot on Time. What happened post their arrival is worth a mention.
Previously whenever we had packed we were supposed to provide the packing material. But in this case these people came equipped with all the packing material like cartons, Plastic sheets, hard brown sheet, tapes and everything that was needed. The packing started at around 9:30 AM and it was worth a watch. These people started packing with beautiful speed and professionalism. Their instructions for us were very clear, they said to my mom (she was trying to help) ‘M’am please sit down just tell us which stuff where and we will do everything, you need not do anything’. Not a single item was damaged in the process. My Mom’s precious crockery was also very safe.
The best packing was of the glass top of our six seater dining table it was covered with bubble packing, brown paper(hard) & cellophane paper the packing was handled with outmost care. The Truck was packed and sealed by 4:30 PM. According to me this was a major accomplishment, as my parents have loads of saman. After all theirs is a 25+ yrs grihasti & both of them have always been very indulgent in buying stuffs.
We had even transported our car along with the rest of the stuff. They used a container truck to move the material. The material reached Delhi as per the schedule and without any kind loss and mental stress to my father. Everything was then (As we wanted) unpacked and kept properly. They even hanged the curtains for my Mom. The overall experience was excellent.
So when I was shifting from Ahmedabad to Mumbai the decision for me to choose the P&M was very clear and even I had an excellent experience with them.
I would like to highlight some Good & Bad features of Agarwal Packers & Mover’s
Good Points
- Highly Professional people
- Their packing is excellent and as far as my experience is concerned there was zero damage.
- With the proper call centers in place it is very easy to track your consignment.
- You don’t have to worry about anything, just call them and you can sit silently and see them finishing off the packing in no time.
- When I was shifting I had to vacate my home on a specific date but there was a gap of 15 days for getting occupancy of my new house. For those 15 days they kept my stuff in their warehouse and the charges were nil for 1st 10 days and for rest 5 days it was Rs 100 per day which was not only very reasonable but God Sent for me. This is a feature which I think no other P&M provide. I had enquired at other places and everybody was charging 200/- per day. And when I had the stuff delivered at my new place I called them one day before the shifting and Bingo they were there right on time.
- The people who come for packing are usually thorough professionals and in our case they didn’t go for lunch break also, one of their own person cooked everything there only. This point is relevant because usually laborers waste time through this excuse.
- They keep up with the time lines they say.
- The response time from getting a quotation to packing, moving and unpacking is very good.
- They have a pan India presence.
- In cases where the company bears the cost of transfer, the employee is supposed to supply three competitive quotes. Agarwal P& M provides all 3 quotes along with their lowest quote. It might seem quite unethical to few but for me it saved my precious time.
- In few words they are value for money.
Now some of the downfalls
- The rates are quite high. A middle class man can afford them only if the company is bearing the cost of transfer otherwise if you have to pay from your pocket then it’s quite costly.
-You have to be very cautious with some of the professionals. In my case when my stuff was being delivered this guy (their supervisor) started giving some gyan to me. Gyan as in I was supposed to pay 500 Rs for keeping my saman in the warehouse but this guy was saying I have to pay for 7 days as he was counting my saman to be in warehouse from the day it was packed. And he wanted the money in cash not as cheque. Anybody can guess what he was trying. What I did was that I called up the Agarwal P & M Employee and everything was then straitened. So we just have to a bit extra cautious.
My purpose of writing this review was very simple. I was going through all the negative reviews for the said Packers & Movers so I thought that since I had a very good experience with them not once but twice then why shouldn’t I share it with everybody. I can Vouch for them (and so can many of my fellow colleagues) that they are the best right now and the speed & professionalism with which they work is commendable. I can say this because we have used other Packer & Movers also and seen the difference. In today’s time when time is a major constraint for maximum of us these people come as saving grace.
So next time you are shifting don’t go by all the negative reviews these people are worth a try.

you are right about the price.
No doubt they are a bit costly in comparison to others but the way they handle the things is awesome too.
I’ve used alliance for my last three shiftings, Delhi to Hyd to Hyd Local to Mumbai.
And I am glad that we now have these kind of professional services in india too.
They were too good to handle and I loved tipping them extra after seeing that they did the packing damn good.
Not even a single glass was broken in any of our shiftings.
Agarwal’s are the best I guess and I like the way they pack all the things in those plastic boxes now a days - they are almost air tight.
Although I dont trust them on one thing - that you should not handover the car to them for transfer - as my friends car was 400kms over ridden when it reached us last time and had some scratches too.
Anyways - they are good no doubt about that.
keep Writing

Pros:
Nothing
Cons:
Everything
I used their services to move from Lucknow to the UK simply because there were very few alternatives in Lucknow and everybody told me that Agarwal are the best. I don’t know how they have managed
to create this hype around themselves. They were my worst nightmare come true. They did not want to come over to my house to give a quote and gave me a quote on the phone but couldn’t explain the break-up which I had to get by calling up their Delhi number. On D-day they failed to turn up at the agreed 12 noon. Since I had to vacate my house at 5 pm, I kept on calling them and each time they lied saying that the men are on the way and their vehicle must have broken down. Finally at 6 pm a band of boys arrived.
Now these were some sub-contractors (and not Agarwal’s employees) who couldn’t even speak hindi (they were south indian boys) and communicated to us mostly in sign language. They ’said’ that they were instructed to come only a few minutes back as they were packing elsewhere till then! Finally these amateurs got down to the job and soon started arguing and fighting among themselves as there was no leader among them to give instructions! They started dumping glass cutlery into their boxes till we requested them to atleast wrap the stuff in newspapers (forget bubble wrap) which we had to then provide. Then they made a farce about counting each item for packing as per their rules.
They wanted to count each book they packed but it emerged (and I am not making this up I swear) that they could not count beyond ten or fifteen. Being an academician, I obvioiusly had more than ten books to pack, so we had to do the counting for them and since things were getting slowed down, we did most of the packing as well (while at the same time appealing to them to stop fighting with each other)!! They then wrote down the number of items on each box and made me seal and sign (wow!). Finally they finished late in the evening and my employers were kind enough to let me have the house till then. While leaving they asked me to sign on a bill stating that so much kilograms of stuff is being moved, based on which I would have to pay.
When I asked how did they arrive at the weight as they did not have any weighing machine, they said (I swear again that this is true!) they can make out the weight by lifting the stuff with their hands!!! I refused to buy that argument and called up their Delhi office and agreed with them to weigh the goods at their Gurgaon godown myself before paying. Off I went to Gurgaon to get the stuff weighed and finally I left for UK praying that the stuff reaches me. After 2 weeks (since I paid for the stuff to be flown to UK) it arrived where it was simply dumped at my building entrance and I had to carry it upstairs by myself. Forget the stuff that was broken and lost (other reviewers have already written about that) I found that they had redistributed all my stuff into smaller boxes on their own (including the books) which means that all the tall talk of counting the number of items (wasting hours in the process) had been a farce! In sum, after this entire experience, my advise is please stay away from this so-called best packers in India.
Wiser after this, my wife (who joined me a bit later from a different location) employed some smaller and cheaper company during her move and it was much smoother. I don’t want to mention the name of this nicer company as it would appear as a promotion in their favour and against Agarwal. But trust me if you can -- stay away from this company. Don’t say later that you weren’t warned!!!

It was a great review. I could almost visualise the same as I am one who is going to sail the same boat soon, from Gurgaon fortunately. Thanks for the timely review.

Seems you had a pathetic time with them...however i had a very good experience with them...it seems that as far shifting is concerned its all dependent on our luck....

Well nicely written about the experience you faced.
I think it is all luck. I had shifted from Pune to Bangalore using Packers XYZ, and i just was impressed. The packers did a terrific job.
So, when moving back from Bangalore to Pune, I opted for the same packers XYZ, and i was so shocked at the way they did the job... a total nightmare... So, i concluded that all packers are similar... and it is our luck that makes it good or bad...

Thanks folks for reading my review and commenting. You are right -- it does depend on luck as the kind of staff and sub-contractors employed by a company varies from location to location. In case of Agarwal, their Delhi head office is as inefficient as the local henchmen, leaving you at your wit’s end! Anyway, thanks to websites like mouthshut, we can share our experiences and in this way hopefully we the consumers can force companies to clean up their acts.

I have used them three times and all three times were faultless. But then I guess it all depends on how good or bad their local offices are . In my cases all moves were within south India- but having dealt with the guys in all four southern states I dont have anything to complain about any one of them.

Pros:
Nothing
Cons:
