I used Central cargo for transporting household stuff from Chennai to Rajasthan in Apr 2006. It was sort of fine but I did not know the actual damage cuz I was in the UK & my parents did not use the items.
I came to only in 2008 when I came back & used the services again. Washing machine was damaged in first service.
So let me tell you what happened second time. I called them from UK & they ssaid that they wouldl pick up the things on 25th May 2008 (apparently the load date from Niwai -Raj).
- They said it will reach chennai in a week. I came India (chennai) on 26th May & then after a week I called them to follow-up. I was staying in a hotel cuz I needed to look for a house on rent in Chennai, I found the house & the rent clock started ticking by 5th June 2008 because I was told that it would be definitely there by then.
- I called them on 5th June, got the response that trucks are in bangalore & they would reach chennai tonight. Being a Sunday/Saturday they would not deliver things so they said We will deliver on Monday. I asked them to update me as soon as trucks are there.
- Nobody called me & updated me on the status.
- I called again on Monday.
- I was always in contact with their man called CHANDRABHAN for all this. & sometime Manoj.
- On Monday they say that driver is sick, so it will another 1-2 days.
- After 1-2 days I call again, & now this time the status is that trucks are in Maharashtra. The tyres had burst & needed a change, therefore, another 3-4 days before I get my stuff.
- I talked to them about trucks going back from bangalore to maharashtra, they said they checked the information for some wrong truck which did not have my stuff. & my truck(their truck but my stuff) is actually in Maharashtra. I asked them if they had checked the correct truck this time, Chnadrabhan confirmed that it is fine this time.
- I got some hope that I will get my stuff finally in 2-3 days.
- Chandrabhan never carries his mobile home, because I was calling him in mobile. So difficult to chase. He comes only by 11 & evening you acant contact because he would not have the mobile with him, he leaves mobile in the office & go. Its only one man Chandrabhan who knows if trucks have arrived or not. nobody else knows anything. So you need to contact only Chandrabhan.
They say that drivers dont carry phones, so its difficult for them to check the status unless they reach some big stations.
- after 2-3 days I call again, (they never update you on anything, you always got to chase & call them). Chandrabhan told me that it will be delivered to my house in morning. I started calling them at 9.30. Nobody was picking the phone, after sometime Manoj picked the phone, I asked him if trucks have arrived. He says Chandrabhan knows, wait for him. AN ISO CERTIFIED company has all the responsibilities on one man. Chandrabhan comes by 11. o my utter shock, he says its not yet loaded from Jaipur.
- I was completely pissed off by then. He said I dont know what happened but this is the status. I called up their delhi office now & thought of talking to high authorities. SO CALLED MR MALIK spoke to me & I told him everything that happened, he said that in next 4-5 days you iwll have your stuff.
- I told him that I am staying in a hotel, paying for my house rent, so spending my money unnecessarily on hotel becaise of you cheeky buggers. I would need to reduce money from your final amount (I had kept 12000 with me for post delivery). He said that first see your goods then we can discuss. I told him that please infomr your Chandrabhan because he is such a crap fellow, he wont listen to you. & I knew that they will not unload unless they get money. so I told malik that inform him that I will not pay anything on delivery instead come to your office, discuss & then do the payment. Of course, why should I pay everyday 750/- for the hotels because of those buggers.
- I had to tke 2 leaves because they always said that it will be there in the morning so I had to wait for their delivery & information which would come to me by 12.00 in the afternoon.
- Malik said that it will be there in the morning (I think 16th June). So I thought at least now they would stick to their words. I took leave on 16th. & was waiting for my stuff.
- Guess what, they delivered in the evening. one more time. Imagine you being in my place .. everyone would think of giving a tight slap & just punch all those cheaters/liers/buggers in their faces.
- I made my mind that I would not pay anything in the evening as discussed with Malik.
- They came, chandrabhan did not come, he sent his workers to unload. & then Chandrabhan phones up & asks the workers not to unload unless they get the full money. Now you would know what a normal person would do. I was so frustrated & was shouting at that bugger that your malik had told me that payment can be done later, but they dont listen to you. I told lets talk to Malik He says that I dont have Malik’s mobile number & he wouldnt be in office by 7.00. He said discuss with him tomorrow , I am going now & taking the truck back with him. You would have to pay for transporation tomorrow. So I did not have any other option than paying them & asking to unload.

It was such a bad experience. Never go with them.
I had to pay 5000/- to repair my washing machine.
Worst service, bad people.
Beware of CHANDRABHAN, MANOJ, MALIK.
