Whenever you are encountering with a daunting task of having to shift your house, a rather helpful service that’s available in the market is these Packers & Movers who promise you a smooth shifting
which includes Packing as well as Unpacking.

But it might turn out to be more destructive than you imagined. I was lured into this LEAD Packers & Movers by their advt. and also by their promises that they make during your first call : I ended up talking a person (by name Iqbal ) and he promised smooth transfer of all items, timely delivery and safety of the things. he himself mentioned he will not get any money if something is damaged.

But as things turn around, all these become fallacies. they turned up 3 hours later much to our anxiety. then those drunken labourers took over their "packing" activities. and they kept doing it for hours. and they’ll keep taking breaks for tea, smoke, lunch and only by evening they’re ready to leave the place. And they very well managed to scratch the wall, tiles that left me wondering how i’m going to answer my current house owner ? They also never listen to you like if you want them to pack items with their own covers like for fridge or washing machine, they won’t do it just to save their effort.

they promptly came to my new aptmt: this time it’s my wardrobe which got the dents and again scratching of tiles. they didn’t even maintain the upside down position of their packages resulting oil leakages etc.

I got fed up and i finally called up this guy Iqbal, just to share my pities, and he coolly advised me that these things happen when you shift your house and that I have to put up with these things. And to my horror, when i kept explaining my woes, he simply hung up on me after saying some mocking words. Only then I realized i was just dealing with some low-class brokers having some big trucks who have no idea about any customer care or service mindset.

As if this is not enough, I learned that the money that I paid them is double (paid more than Rs.5000) whereas ppl told me it’s usually around 3000 only.

Never ever go to LEAD Packers. they’re quite a few others in the market but try to talk to those guys in person before making a decision.
